You know I was born on a certain date,
My school-leaving certificate says that;
A wise fortune-teller drew up my kundali
on a fresh smelling little book faithfully.
This child will enjoy a long life blissfully,
He will achieve great success academically;
Will of course make a lot of money honestly,
And will make the parents proud certainly.
And, Maharaj, what about his nature?
Oh, let me see, said the wise Master;
Whereupon great maharaj frowned,
What’s wrong,? Maa was concerned
He will be a rebellious child, you see,
Will not follow any pattern of astrology;
Will be born again every day, so to say,
So the pre-decided destiny has no say
A free thinking man so disdainful
Of laws of destiny, isn’t it painful?
Thus I am reborn every second,
creating own destiny unopened.
