Having heard Mukesh singing run of the mill songs like “ Mera naam Raju, Awara hoon,” I find it so refreshing to see him dive deep into the ocean of hope through the haunting lines that transports one to the day when the sky itself will break into an ecstatic dance, the motherland will chant hymns of solace, …

In this song, I have tried very hard to bring out the emotional quotient through carefully coordinated movements of fingers at an unhurried, slow tempo – perhaps slower than the original.

એક નવલી પ્રસન્નતા અને ઉમળકાની ઉષા. હંમેશાં લોકોના ચાહિતા ગાયક મુકેશજીએ  ચીલા ચાલુ ગીતો – ‘મેરા નામ રાજુ’ કે પછી ‘આવારા હૂં’ વિગેરે – ને બદલે કાઇંક નવા જ રંગ માં જોયા – સાહિર સાહેબના શબ્દોમાં જાણે પ્રાણ પૂર્યા – સાક્ષાત નવી આશા લઈને આવી પૂગેલા  ઉષઃ કાળને આવકારે-  આ નભ  પણ જાણે ભાવાત્મક ઉન્માદમાં નર્તન કરી ઉઠ્યું, જમીન જાણે નવી આશા અને આશ્વાસનનું ગીત ગણગણવા લાગી 

ગીતમાં વ્યક્ત થયેલી ઉર્મિઓને પ્રથમ તરંગ પર આકાર આપવા  હું  ખૂબ મથ્યો. મૂળ ગીતની  લય કરતાં કદાચ વધુ ધીમી લયમાં વગાડ્યું છે – ઊર્મિઓને અભિવ્યક્ત કરવા – પ્રથમ તરંગ સહજ રીતે ગાઈ શકે નહિ એટલે જ તો. શ્રોતાગણમાં આનંદ માણતા કેટલાક જીવથી રહેવાયું નહિ એટલે ગાતાં જોડાયા – સામૂહિક આનંદની પરાકાષ્ઠાનો અનુભવ. 

અરે તમે પણ પ્રથમ તરંગ પર ગીત સાંભળતા સાથે ગાઈને જોડાઈ શકો, ખરું?
